Paul Granillo, President and CEO of Inland Economic Partnership, praised Amazon’s approximately $20 billion investment in the Inland Empire, highlighting the region’s emergence as a national leader in the goods movement industry. The 40,000 jobs created by Amazon have helped the Inland Empire weather economic challenges better than neighboring counties, offering local job opportunities and reducing the need for long commutes. These efforts not only provide immediate economic benefits but also position the region for future growth.
To support its continued growth in the area, Amazon announced plans to open two new facilities in Victorville and Ontario, expected to start operations in late 2022.
